দেশব্যাপী ভয়াবহ ডেঙ্গুজ্বরের বিস্তার প্রতিরোধে আতঙ্কিত না হয়ে যথাযথ সচেতনতা এবং সতর্কতা গ্রহনের ওপর গুরুত্ব দিয়েছে এফবিসিসিআই। এফবিসিসিআই নেতৃবৃন্দ ডেঙ্গু ভাইরাস টেস্টের প্রয়োজনীয় কিট আমদানির ক্ষেত্রে তাদের করণীয় থাকলে তা করারও আশ্বাস দিয়েছেন। এফবিসিসিআইয়ের উদ্যোগে আজ (৪-৮-১৯) ‘ডেঙ্গুজ্বরের বিস্তার রোধে করণীয়’ শীর্ষক এক আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠানে এসব বক্তব্য তুলে ধরা হয়। এছাড়াও ডেঙ্গুজ্বরে আক্রান্ত রোগীদের প্রয়োজনীয় রক্তের চাহিদা পূরণে এফবিসিসিআই আজকের সভার সিদ্ধান্ত অনুযায়ী ‘ব্লাড ক্যাম্প’ স্থাপন করে। এফবিসিসিআই সভাপতি শেখ ফজলে ফাহিম এফবিসিসিআই কার্যালয়ে রেডক্রিসেন্ট টিমের সহায়তায় বিকেলে এই ব্লাড ক্যাম্পের কার্যক্রম শুরু করেন।
এফবিসিসিআই সভাপতির সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠিত আজকের সভায় এফবিসিসিআই নেতৃবৃন্দ ছাড়াও দেশের বেসরকারি মেডিকেল কলেজ এসোসিয়েশন এবং বিভিন্ন বেসরকারি হাসপাতালের প্রতিনিধিবৃন্দ উপস্থিত ছিলেন। অনুষ্ঠানে এফবিসিসিআই সিনিয়র সহ-সভাপতি জনাব মো: মুনতাকিম আশরাফ, সহ-সভাপতি জনাব নিজামুদ্দিন রাজেশ এবং পরিচালকবৃন্দ উপস্থিত ছিলেন। বেসরকারি মেডিকেল কলেজ এসোসিয়েশনের সভাপতি ডা. এম. এ. মুবিন খান আলোচনায় অংশ নেন।
অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তারা উল্লেখ করেন যে, সময়মত যথাযথ চিকিৎসা প্রদান নিশ্চিত করা গেলে ৯৫% ডেঙ্গুরোগীকে সৃুস্থ করে তোলা সম্ভব। বক্তারা দেশের বর্তমান ডেঙ্গু পরিস্থিতি মোকাবেলায় আতঙ্কিত না হয়ে সরকার এবং বেসরকারি খাতের সম্মিলিত উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে প্রয়োজনীয় সচেতনতা সৃষ্টির ওপর বিশেষ গুরুত্ব আরোপ করেন। নিজ বাসস্থানসহ আশেপাশের পরিবেশ পরিচ্ছন্ন রাখার ওপর তারা বিশেষ গুরুত্ব দেন। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত বেসরকারি মেডিকেল কলেজ এসোসিয়েশন নেতৃবৃন্দ উল্লেখ করেন যে, সুবিধাবঞ্চিত শ্রেণীর ডেঙ্গুরোগীদেরকে তারা বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা প্রদান করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছেন।
এফবিসিসিআই সভাপতি শেখ ফজলে ফাহিম তাঁর বক্তব্যে উল্লেখ করেন যে, সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতার (ঈঝজ) অংশ হিসেবে এফবিসিসিআই তার অন্যান্য কার্যক্রমের মতই ডেঙ্গুজ্বর বিস্তার প্রতিরোধে সচেতনতামূলক কর্মসূচী হাতে নিয়েছে। এছাড়াও এফবিসিসিআই ডেঙ্গুজ্বরে আক্রান্ত রোগীদেরকে প্রয়োজনীয় রক্ত সরবরাহের লক্ষ্যে ‘ব্লাড ক্যাম্প’ স্থাপনের সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে। নিজেদের বাসস্থান ও কর্মস্থল এবং এফবিসিসিআইয়ের সদস্য রিহ্যাব-এর মাধ্যমে দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানে নির্মাণাধীন ভবনগুলোতে পরিচ্ছন্নতা কার্যক্রম চালানো হবে বলে তিনি জানান। চলমান বর্ষা মৌসুম শেষে আগামি বছরের জন্যও এ কার্যক্রম অব্যাহত রাখা হবে বলে শেখ ফাহিম উল্লেখ করেন।
অনুষ্ঠানে জাহাঙ্গীরনগর হসপিটালের চেয়ারম্যান ডা. মো: জাহাঙ্গীর আলম, সিটি মেডিকেল কলেজ এন্ড হসপিটালের ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক ডা. রেফায়েত উল্লাহ শরিফ এবং স্বাস্থ্যসেবা ও চিকিৎসা শিক্ষার সাথে সংশ্লিষ্ট এফবিসিসিআইয়ের পরিচালক ও সদস্যবৃন্দও বক্তব্য রাখেন।
FBCCI for necessary awareness to control Dengue
FBCCI establishes ‘Blood Camp’ for the Dengue Patients
FBCCI emphasizes on necessary awareness and not to get panicked at the massive spreading of dengue cases across the country. If there is any scope, FBCCI also assured to act in importing the dengue test kits. These observations came at a discussion organized by FBCCI today (4-8-19) at FBCCI Conference centre. According to the decision of the meeting FBCCI establishes a ‘Blood Camp’ to meet the demand of the dengue patients. FBCCI President Sheikh F Fahim in assistance of the Red Crescent team started the activities of the Blood Camp at FBCCI in the afternoon.
FBCCI President chaired the discussion meeting while the representatives of Bangladesh Private Medical College Association (PPMCA) and the private hospitals also joined. FBCCI Senior Vice President Mr. MD Muntakim Ashraf, Vice President Mr. Nizamuddin Rajesh and the Directors took part in the discussion. Dr. M. A Mubin Khan, President of Bangladesh Private Medical College Association also participated in the discussion.
Speakers at the program said that, if timely and proper treatment is ensure 95% dengue patients can be cured. The representatives of Bangladesh Private Medical College Association said that they have decided to provide free treatment to the dengue patients of underprivileged section.
FBCCI President Sheikh F Fahim said that, FBCCI has taken this dengue awareness program as part of its CSR activities. FBCCI also has decided to establish a Blood Camp to meet the demand of the dengue patients, he added. The FBCCI Chief mentioned that they will drive the cleanliness program at the household, work place and, also in the construction areas with the assistance of REHAB. This program will continue for the next season, he added.
Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam, Chairman of Jahangirnagar Hospital Ltd., Dr. Refayet Ullah Sharif, Managing Director of City Medical College and Hospital and the FBCCI Directors relating to health service also spoke on the occasion.
